• The Principals Symposium – Scenic Production & Educational Event Environments, Dubai (2017)

Main presentation stage with integrated LED backdrop and branded scenic environment for The Principals Symposium.

Large education forums require environments that support formal presentations, collaborative discussion and clear communication across a substantial audience. For The Principals Symposium in Dubai, Evolution delivered scenic production and event support for a national education gathering attended by more than 1,100 school principals from across the UAE.

Hosted by the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi in March 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City, the symposium introduced the UAE’s newly developed Moral Education curriculum. Evolution’s scope included a custom main stage, interactive workshop environments, bespoke branding and signage, creating a professional setting for keynote presentations, panel discussions and collaborative sessions.

    The Challenge

The symposium needed to accommodate more than 1,100 school principals while supporting several different types of activity within one coordinated event environment.

The main programme required a professional stage suitable for keynote speeches and panel discussions, while additional areas needed to support smaller workshops, collaborative sessions and audience participation.

Because the event introduced a major national education initiative, the visual environment also needed to communicate the Moral Education programme clearly and consistently across the venue.

    The Solution

Evolution created a tailored scenic package designed around the operational requirements of the symposium.

A custom main stage was developed to provide a clear focal point for keynote presentations and panel discussions. The stage environment was designed to support the formal nature of the programme while maintaining a professional and visually coherent appearance.

Dedicated workshop zones were also created to support smaller group discussions, collaboration and more detailed engagement with the curriculum.

Bespoke signage and branded scenic elements were produced throughout the event environment to reinforce the symposium identity and the wider messaging of the Moral Education initiative.

By coordinating staging, workshop environments and branding as one integrated package, Evolution helped create a venue that could support both large-format presentations and more focused educational interaction.

  • Union Parade – Cultural Scenic Fabrication & Event Structures, Al Wathba (2024)

    1.	Evolution Scenic cultural scenic fabrication created for the Al Wathba Union Parade 2024.

Large ceremonial events require scenic environments that respect cultural identity while also resolving access, safety, technical concealment and guest movement. For the Annual Union Parade 2024 in Al Wathba, Evolution Scenic delivered a coordinated range of culturally inspired scenic elements and functional event structures within a demanding production programme.

The scope included tribal benches, custom lamp décor bases, branded walls, family tents, a large wooden roundabout, CNC-cut log walling, bespoke steps and ramps for His Highness’s entrances, technical hiders, camera platforms, cable trunk cladding, fire extinguisher stands and signage walls. Together, these elements created a visually cohesive environment that balanced cultural presentation with operational and safety requirements.

Large-scale cultural scenic environment fabricated and installed by Evolution Scenic at Al Wathba.

    The Challenge

The project required scenic fabrication to meet several priorities at the same time: cultural authenticity, functional access, technical integration, safety compliance and fast-track delivery.

The event environment needed to reflect traditional visual cues through benches, tents, decorative features and timber treatments, while also accommodating practical infrastructure such as speaker concealment, camera positions, cable management and safety equipment.

Access for His Highness also required dedicated scenic structures, including custom steps and ramps, which needed to work seamlessly within the wider visual language of the event.

The tight programme and complex logistics added further pressure, particularly because each element had to satisfy both operational requirements and a high standard of cultural presentation.

    The Solution

Evolution Scenic developed a range of bespoke scenic and structural elements tailored to the parade environment.

Culturally inspired features included tribal benches, custom lamp décor bases, branding walls and family tents, helping establish a consistent visual identity across the site.

A major feature was the custom wooden roundabout, incorporating a CNC-fabricated log wall treatment. Bespoke steps and ramps were integrated into the structure to support His Highness’s entrances while maintaining a coherent scenic finish.

Technical infrastructure was also carefully concealed. Custom hiders were fabricated for speaker boxes, while camera platforms and cable trunk cladding were developed to preserve functionality without allowing technical equipment to dominate the visual environment.

Safety-related elements, including fire extinguisher stands and signage walls, were incorporated into the scenic treatment so that required equipment remained accessible while still fitting within the overall design.

The project was delivered under tight deadlines and complex logistical conditions, requiring close coordination across fabrication, finishing, transport and on-site installation.

The result was a large-scale exhibition environment designed to support both brand visibility and day-to-day functionality throughout the show.

    The Challenge

The HPE stand needed to accommodate a substantial footprint while remaining organised, professional and easy to navigate.

The design required multiple enclosed meeting rooms alongside open visitor areas, branded architectural features and functional counters. These elements needed to sit within one cohesive stand while supporting presentations, private discussions and general exhibition activity.

The stand also needed to maintain consistent branding across a large 25m x 12m footprint, requiring careful coordination of wall finishes, graphics, lighting and overhead elements.

Large-scale youth events require scenic environments that can support presentations, performances, branding, and interactive activity while maintaining a clear visual identity across the venue. For the Youth Tolerance Rally in Abu Dhabi, Evolution Scenic delivered a broad range of scenic and structural elements for a conference and team-building event centred on diversity, tolerance, and inclusion.

The project was delivered within an intensive five-day production timeline and included a custom main stage, giant screen integration, bespoke lectern and backdrop, large-scale banner installation, performance structures, interactive team-building props, branding, and freestanding signage.

    The Challenge

The Youth Tolerance Rally required multiple scenic and structural components to be designed, fabricated, coordinated, and delivered within a demanding five-day production programme.

The scope extended beyond a conventional stage build. Scenic elements needed to support presentations, live performances, music acts, team-building activities, event branding, and the wider visual identity of the rally.

With numerous individual components progressing simultaneously, the short programme required close coordination between senior team members and trusted suppliers while maintaining consistency across the overall scenic environment.

    The Solution

Evolution Scenic delivered a coordinated package of custom scenic fabrication and structural elements designed around the operational and visual requirements of the event.

A bespoke main stage was constructed with an integrated giant screen and seamless backdrop to support presentations and performances. A custom lectern and matching backdrop were fabricated to align with the event branding while providing a functional focal point for speakers.

One of the central scenic features was a large-scale banner installation representing unity and diversity. This was fabricated and integrated into the event environment as a prominent visual feature.

Additional platforms and stage backdrops were produced to support live performers and music bands, while custom props and installations were created specifically for interactive team-building activities.

Branded scenic elements and freestanding signage were also delivered throughout the venue, helping establish a consistent visual identity across the event space.

  • ADEO EC Retreat TP – Interactive Scenic Installations & Executive Workshop Environments, Abu Dhabi (2025)

Coordinated ADEO scenic installation combining MDF walls, acrylic displays and printed graphics.

Executive retreats require environments that do more than provide a backdrop. The physical space needs to support discussion, participation, idea-sharing and decision-making while maintaining the level of finish expected from a high-profile leadership event. For the Abu Dhabi Executive Office EC Retreat, Evolution Scenic designed and fabricated a coordinated range of interactive installations and branded scenic elements.

The project combined engagement walls, feature walls, workshop stations, acrylic displays, voting installations and feedback areas to create a refined environment built around participation. Each element contributed to the wider event identity while providing practical tools for strategic discussion and collaborative working.

    The Challenge

The retreat required a premium executive environment capable of supporting strategic discussions while actively encouraging participant engagement.

Rather than relying solely on conventional event branding, the scenic environment needed to incorporate physical tools that participants could use throughout workshops and discussions. Interactive walls, voting areas, feedback displays and collaborative stations all needed to function clearly while remaining visually consistent with the overall event identity.

The challenge was therefore to combine scenic fabrication, branding and interactivity within an environment appropriate for senior-level participants, ensuring that practical workshop functionality did not compromise the refined visual treatment of the space.

    The Solution

Evolution Scenic developed a series of custom interactive and branded installations designed around the retreat programme.

Interactive engagement walls were created to allow participants to respond to key themes, contribute ideas and engage directly with the content presented during the sessions.

Branded scenic walls and feature displays were fabricated and installed throughout the environment, creating a consistent visual framework and reinforcing the retreat’s identity and messaging.

Dedicated workshop stations were produced as practical tools for collaborative sessions, providing defined locations for idea-sharing, discussion and participant contributions.

Freestanding acrylic stands and signage introduced a lighter visual treatment within the space. Clear acrylic elements and contemporary finishes helped maintain the premium aesthetic while ensuring information remained easy to identify and navigate.

Voting walls and feedback displays provided additional points of interaction, enabling participants to contribute responses and engage with workshop content in a physical and visible format.

By treating these installations as both scenic elements and working tools, Evolution Scenic created an environment where fabrication supported the operational requirements of the retreat rather than simply decorating the space.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Custom participant engagement walls.
    • Branded scenic feature walls.
    • Interactive workshop stations.
    • Collaborative idea-sharing installations.

  • Hai Ramadan Expo Mosque – Dubai (2024)

Evolution Scenic temporary mosque façade with triangular portals at Expo City Dubai.

Temporary cultural and religious environments require more than visual transformation. Structure, circulation, durability, safety and finish must work together to create a space that is practical for its intended use while respecting the significance of the environment.

For Hai Ramadan at Expo City Dubai, Evolution Scenic transformed an existing Al Faris tent into a fully functional mosque designed to serve visitors and staff throughout the Ramadan programme.

The project incorporated substantial structural enhancements, a mezzanine level to maximise usable space, separate ablution facilities for men and women, a purpose-built foyer and a combination of specialist internal and external finishes. Delivered within a limited timeframe and against approved drawings, material samples and safety requirements, the mosque demonstrated Evolution Scenic's ability to apply its fabrication and construction capabilities to complex temporary environments.

Evolution Scenic plywood and fibreglass portals forming the Expo Mosque façade.

    The Challenge

The project required an existing temporary tent to be developed into a functional place of worship while working within an approved budget, agreed drawings, safety requirements and a restricted delivery programme.

The structure needed to accommodate the practical requirements of a mosque, including sufficient prayer space, separate male and female ablution areas and effective circulation between internal and external environments.

The scale of the build also required a robust approach to construction and finishing, with materials delivered in accordance with approved samples while ensuring the completed environment remained appropriate for regular use throughout the Ramadan programme.

Evolution Scenic developed the technical design from the concept renders.

    The Solution

Evolution Scenic developed the existing tent through a combination of timber construction, steel framing, specialist boarding and architectural finishing.

The existing structure was upgraded using a double-wall system incorporating 18mm PSP board and timber formers, finished with a textured paint treatment.

Externally, steel framing supported concrete-board cladding to create a more substantial and durable outer envelope.

A mezzanine level was constructed to increase the available usable space, while two dedicated ablution areas provided separate facilities for men and women.

Finishes were selected according to the operational requirements of each area. High-quality carpet was installed throughout the main prayer hall, vinyl flooring was used within the ablution and foyer areas, and grass carpet completed the external spaces.

The foyer required its own heavy-duty steel-framed structure, clad with concrete boards to provide a durable transition between the exterior and the main mosque.

Together, these elements transformed the original temporary tent into a structured, functional and welcoming environment designed specifically for its use as a mosque.

    Delivery Highlights

    • Existing Al Faris tent adapted and enhanced
    • Double-wall construction
    • 18mm PSP board and timber formers
