18TH SESSION OF THE UNIDO GENERAL CONFERENCE

The 18th session of the General Conference of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) took place from November 3–7, 2019, at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

​This biennial gathering of Member States serves as UNIDO’s supreme policy-making body, addressing global strategies for industrial development. The 2019 theme, “Industry 2030 – Innovate. Connect. Transform our Future,” focused on advancing innovation and sustainable industrial development.

Evolution Scenic was tasked with constructing the exhibition space, the centerpiece of the event, transforming the Emirates Palace atrium into a dynamic and interactive environment. By delivering intricate scenic fabrication and technical solutions, Evolution Scenic ensured the exhibition embodied the conference's forward-looking theme.

Comprehensive Scenic Solutions for a High-Profile Exhibition

• Seven Themed Hubs: Constructed custom scenic panels and interactive stations for topics such as Gender, Youth & Entrepreneurship, Circular Economy, Industry 4.0, Industrial Parks, Sustainable Energy, and Partnerships.
• Interactive Features: Integrated touchscreens, large displays, and mounting systems for AI stations, personal iPads with headsets, and other interactive elements.
• Photo Gallery Fit-Out: Fabricated a dedicated gallery space for Elisabetta Lattanzio Illy’s photo exhibition, incorporating custom display structures to showcase her work effectively.
• Venue Transformation: Designed and installed scenic elements to enhance the atrium’s aesthetics while maintaining guest flow and functionality.

Adapting to a tight production timeline, Evolution Scenic provided a seamless delivery of scenic elements, balancing visual appeal with robust structural integrity.
