COP28 @ UAE PAVILION

During COP28, the UAE Pavilion at EXPO City served as an interactive cultural space, offering visitors a unique immersion into the UAE’s heritage while aligning with sustainability initiatives.

Running from November 30 to December 12, 2023, the pavilion blended storytelling, craftsmanship, and sustainable design to highlight the country’s traditions in a modern, engaging setting.

Evolution Scenic was entrusted by the National Projects Office to design, fabricate, and install scenic elements that seamlessly merged heritage and sustainability, ensuring an authentic and visually cohesive experience for visitors.

Scenic Fabrication for an Immersive Cultural Journey

• Modular Display Solutions: Developed custom scenic structures that blended into the pavilion’s environment, reinforcing the event’s eco-conscious design approach.
• Traditional Craftsmanship Showcases: Fabricated scenic areas for live artisan demonstrations, including date palm weaving, gahwa (coffee) preparation, and traditional medicine displays.
• Interactive Installations: Designed custom-built spaces for live Ayallah performances and marine craft exhibitions, offering guests a fully immersive experience.
• Custom Lighting & Scenic Integration: Created ambient lighting solutions that transitioned seamlessly from day to night, enhancing the pavilion’s atmosphere.
• Guided Experience Elements: Delivered scenic backdrops and interpretive display elements to complement the guided storytelling tours, helping visitors connect with Emirati heritage.
